I investigated origins of 25 herbal oriental medicines in pharmacopoeias and standard collections of China, Taibei, Japan, South and North Korea in order to the basic works for editing of Herbal Pharmacopoeia. The results were obtained as follows:
1. I could find a point of difference in origins of several herbal oriental medicines. For example, those were Lasiosphaera Seu Calvatia (M V , Chaenomelis Fructus (7K M), Aucklandiae Radix(7KA), Myrrha (& ) .
2. I think that we should make clear medicinal origin and herbal names of Cocculi Radix (*Sh E) and Akebiae Caulis (7KA) .
3. I think that we should make clear medicinal point of Cannabis Fructus %-T477) , Imperatae Rhizoma (*&) and Actinidiae Fructus (*K k ) .
According to above these results, we should many studies on the point of difference in medicinal origins in order to basic works of oriental herb pharmacopoeia.
